ISAI hosted an excellent APAAACI Plenary session as well as APAAACI Allergy Training School which was well attended and very interactive. We are proud to have Iris Rengganis from ISAI as our board member. We wish them continued success.

PERALMUNI also known as Indonesian Society of Allergy and Immunology (ISAI) was founded in 1977 with the aim to improve and develop knowledge and practice in Allergy and Immunology in Indonesia. The organization was initially initiated by Karnen Garna Baratawidjaja and Heru Sundaru and has been led by exemplary Allergy Immunologist and is now headed by Iris Rengganis.

Initially, the organization is a recognized subspecialty society of the Indonesian Society of Internal Medicine and eventually it is recognized as a professional interest group by the Indonesian Medical Association. Its member currently encompasses various disciplines such as internal medicine, Allergy-Immunology, pediatric, dermatovenereology, neurology, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, pathology, clinical microbiology and parasitology. The society is also an active member of various international organizations such as World Allergy Organization (WAO) and the Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI).

The member of ISAI has grown through the years and is currently at 454 members has established Allergy and Immunology subspecialty training program in several recognized universities in various fields. Throughout the years, membership has continued to increase and in keeping with our vision and mission, continues to raise the awareness of allergy and immunology cases while continuously updating with the current treatment and technologies to solve issues and ongoing problems in Allergy and Immunology.

In 2006, Jakarta Allergy and Clinical Immunology Network (JACIN) was formed as an organizer of annual conference in Allergy and Immunology, which initially collaborated with Asia Pacific Association of Pediatric Allergy, Respirology and Immunology (APAPARI) for the first meeting. This year, JACIN was held in July 27-28, 2019 in Jakarta which has brought together 280 attendants comprising of general practitioners, internist, pediatrician, otolaryngologist and dermatovenereologist to discuss current updates in Allergy and Immunology. In conjunction with APAAACI and ISAI, this conference also held APAAACI Training and Allergy School, inviting distinguished international speakers such as Hugo van Bever, board member of APAPARI, along with Ruby Pawankar, the current president of APAAACI.
